Integrity management
Combining knowledge and experience in various areas such as material technology,
corrosion, chemicals, condition monitoring, maintenance and inspection management,
production technology, modeling and data management, a systematic approach for integrity
management has been developed. Also, several software tools have been developed
to support the integrity management system.
We focus on the following three main areas:
Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
RBI is a systematic method for optimising the inspection plan for an asset. In
defining risk as the product of Probability of Failure (PoF) and Consequence of
Failure (CoF) , the asset units are given individual risk levels through a well
documented analysis process. Components with high risk levels will have the highest
inspection frequencies, whereas components with low risk levels will have long intervals
between each inspection. The inspection program must be a dynamic program, which
frequently is updated based on historical information.
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
RCM is a structured system for optimization of maintenance activities for an asset.
Focuses on maintaining only critical and cost demanding equipment, is subject to
corrective maintenance. A RCM project is run in close co-operation with the client

development and implementation.
Corrosion Management
A “ live” Corrosion Management System is an effective way to control the integrity
threats caused by material degradation like corrosion, erosion , cracks and fatigue.
The objectives of implementing a Corrosion Management System are to:
- Provide a management directive with purpose of controlling and minimizing the
corrosion risk and costs over the lifetime of the fields
- Keep high focus on and minimize corrosion problems in high risk areas where
loss of integrity will have an impact on personnel safety, the environment and company
finances
- Eliminate hydrocarbon leaks caused by corrosion
- Ensure that corrosion control programs are in place and ensure that corrosion
performance data and cost are reviewed and trended, ensuring optimum mitigation
and proactive actions
- Ensure that all relevant corrosion performance and cost data are available
- Define clear responsibilities, accountabilities and ownership of corrosion
management throughout the organisation.
